What is the best backlink checker tool? I need to check my backlinks and whenever I use backlinkwatch I get a message that it's over it's quota or whatever for that day.

use iwebtool.com it is very nice tool to check backlinks,pr and many more facilities.

You can use http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/.. its free and has no limitations. You can even download the table in a csv format.

I think Yahoo's Site Explorer is the most accurate one. Google's Webmaster Tools is pretty ok, but it shows only a big sample of your backlinks, not all of which Google is aware of. I often use linkpopularity.com when I am curious how much backlinks does Google and Bing show using the link operator directly in the search box.

Bing had eliminated the "link:" operator a long time ago. You have to join Bing webmaster central to view backlinks.

backlinks can easily be checked from Google. there is no need to get any services for that.

I prefer to use Backlinkwatch, I totally agree with what you said many a times I get a same error. I tried many other website but didn't found as good as backlinkwatch.

Google Analytics is the best way to monitor your site.
http://www.backlinkwatch.com is useful in finding out the backlinks along with the anchor text.

Google's Webmaster Tools is reasonably all right, merely it shows only a big sample of your backlinks, not all of which Google is cognizant of.

I use our backlink checker, because one of the results is from Yahoo site explorer, which gives the best result count aside from Google webmaster tools.
