RSS stand for Really Simple Syndication. It is basically a news letter and update service available publically. With the help of software known as RSS feeder, you can get the latest update of any service provider who provides RSS feeds. Mostly dynamic sites today provide RSS feeds which are broadly compatible with all mobile devices.

RSS helps the author of the website because of which he is able to maintain the website in a very good manner. RSS helps the author to maintain a notifications group. This group is called as an RSS Feed. The users who want to check for the topics of their interest and that too the latest news about them just have to search this group. Even the headlines of the latest news can be checked by using this method. I suppose that you will have got a rough idea about what RSS is and how it works.

1. For Websites, RSS Feeds can be created manually or with software.
2. The RSS Feed that is created is an XML file that lives on an Internet server
3. The RSS Feed Reader reads the RSS Feed file and displays it. The RSS Reader displays only new items from the RSS Feed.
