websites subject matter.

Search engines give more ranking weight to websites that have backlinks pointing to
to their site from other websites that have the same or similar subject matter.

Auto-submitters submit your website to pages that are both "link farms" and
non-human edited websites or directories. These pages are full of spam,
unrelated links, and duplicate links. Having a link on these spammy sites will
hurt your website's rankings in the search engines.
